Not all of Biden's political prisoners have been pardoned by Trump.
Case in point: Political consultant Michael Shirley, one of numerous victims of the Biden DOJ's "lawfare" attempt to retain power and stifle political opposition. He's serving a 7-year-plus sentence for a crime he didn't commit, and in a category of crime that is notoriously vague. For those reasons alone, Mike needs our help regaining his freedom from the wrongful imprisonment he now suffers -- whether that relief comes from a pardon, commutation of his sentence, or some other relief.
But Mike's situation goes a whole lot deeper than a simple injustice against a single person. That an American citizen can be so effortlessly charged and imprisoned due to political biases exposes the dangerous amount of power wielded by the executive branch of government. That actual political prisoners are being taken and kept behind bars in America should be a wake up call to us all, regardless of party.
Mike's imprisonment also underscores the many flaws in our federal judicial system. As one example, prosecutors hinted that he might be offered a shorter or more lenient sentence if he would agree to make a false statement against Trump and accusing him of manipulating recent elections. Mike bravely refused, which in our view makes him a true American hero.
We await action by the U.S. Department of Justice on recommending a full pardon, followed by a signature from President Donald J. Trump.
